MAPLE WHIPPED CREAM
HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM IS A MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN ANYTHING THAT COMES IN A CAN OR A TUB. I SWEETEN MINE WITH MAPLE SYRUP AND THE COMBINATION OF SWEET CREAM AND MAPLE IS ABSOLUTELY DIVINE.
INGREDIENTS
Heavy Whipping Cream + Pure Maple Syrup
DIRECTIONS
Pour as much heavy cream into a large bowl as you’d like, keeping in mind that it will double in size once it’s whipped.
Using an immersion blender with a whisk attachment, or an electric mixer, or even just a wire hand-whisk, whip the crap out of that cream until it thickens and you can pull the whisk out and there are soft peaks left behind. Sweeten with maple syrup to taste - meaning add a little, mix it in, and taste. Some like it sweeter than others. When I top pumpkin pie with this, I sweeten it a little less, and when I use it for fresh berries and cream, I sweeten it a little more. Either way, the mix of that maple flavor with the cream is something out of a dream.
